Returns a list of charges against based on an external identifier. Results are ordered by the charge date. The list is paged and will always return the first page of records. If there are no records that match your search you will be returned an empty list.
Please note that PayAdvantage does not prevent duplicate ExternalID entries so you will receive an array of charges that used the provided ExternalID. It is your responsibility to manage payment external IDs.
Please be cautious, as using the same external ID may be challenging to reconcile payments if you do not use a unique external identification number for each transaction. However, external IDs are useful for connecting Direct Debit Requests (DDRs) to their respective payments, this is achieved by providing the external ID during DDR creation.
